Winner of ARIA 2025
In December 2025, Skifta Rikt was awarded the EU Commission's ARIA Prize in the Generational Renewal category, selected from 127 nominated projects from 27 member states. The prize highlights our work in helping farmers plan ownership transfers in a sustainable and more equal way. Together with over 180 participants from 50 farms between 2023 and 2024, we have created safer conversations, clearer roles and better conditions for both transferors and transferees.
“It is important to talk through the soft questions about roles and tasks for EVERYONE in the future. It is easy to think that changes of ownership are about taxes, finances and legal issues. But those questions should come after talking through who will own and run the farm and how we will live and maintain good relationships. Our experience is that it is valuable, and almost crucial, to get help from someone external to lead the conversation. It dissolves habitual roles and gives everyone a chance to raise their thoughts.”
